Productivity Apps

Recently I was looking through the Notes app on my phone and realized that I had a really eclectic mix of random and important notations jotted down there, some dating back as far as 8 years! It got me thinking about other apps that I rely on for work, and I wanted to share them with you all in case they may be as useful to you as they are to me. So, without further ado, here are my top 3:
  1. Notes- kind of genius in its simplicity. I have used it to make lists of things I need to look for at the courthouse, to take notes when I am on a call, and just to write down thoughts so I don’t forget them later on.
  2. Slack- text messaging on steroids. You can set up channels for each project and everyone can message each other (either privately or in the group chat). There are a lot of cool apps you can add to it as well. I even send myself a lot of messages on Slack; for example, if I find an article during the week that I want to use in the newsletter, I send the link to myself so I can reference it later.
  3. Smartsheet- like Google Sheets but better. I built Cimmaron’s database on top of Smartsheet and I absolutely love all of the features and the ease of use. It integrates with Slack and you can build different workflows into your processes.
